Off White

It is a brand on the border of streetwear and high-end, founded in 2012 in Milan by the American fashion designer and designer Virgil Abloh. Initially, it was called “PYREX VISION”, but soon changed its name to Off White. It collaborated with many other brands, such as Nike, IKEA, Moncler and Converse. The most famous designs were created on the Nike Air Force 1 , Nike Air Jordan 1 and Nike Dunk shoes. Virgil's designs often appeared on the catwalks of European Fashion Week and soon after, he became the creative director of Louis Vuitton. Characteristic elements of the designs included zip ties/locks with a logo, inscriptions taken in quotation marks and arrows and diagonal stripes. In 2019, Off White was acquired together with the New Guards group by Farfetch for over 675 million dollars. Unfortunately, in 2021, as a result of aggressive heart cancer, he died, leaving behind a huge legacy and potential for future projects.

Jest to marka z pogranicza streetwearu i high-endu, założona w 2012 w Mediolanie przez amerykańskiego projektanta mody i designera Virgila Abloha. Początkowo nazywała się “PYREX VISION”, Jednak niedługo później zmieniła nazwę na Off White. Współpracowała ona z wieloma innymi markami, takimi jak Nike, IKEA, Moncler czy Converse. Najbardziej znane projekty powstały na butach Nike Air Force 1 , Nike Air Jordan 1 czy Nike Dunk . Projekty Virgila występowały często na wybiegach European Fashion Week i niedługo później przez to stał się on kreatywnym dyrektorem Louis Vuitton. Charakterystycznymi elementami projektów były między innymi trytytki/blokady typu zip z logiem, napisy wzięte w cudzysłów i strzałki oraz ukośne paski. W 2019 roku Off White został przejęty razem z grupą New Guards przez Farfetch za ponad 675 mln dolarów. Niestety w 2021 w wyniku agresywnego raka serca zmarł pozostawiając po sobie ogromne dziedzictwo i potencjał na przyszłe projekty.
