What are "sneakers"? The word comes from the English language and originally meant sports shoes that make  

our steps are quiet, which is where the name "sneak" comes from - to sneak up, to be quiet. Later it evolved to  

the name Sneakers, which was adopted all over the world as a term for sports shoes, and soon afterwards became  

more specific and currently refers to branded, often limited and unique sports and lifestyle shoes
